MeltPro® CYP2C19 Test

MeltPro®  CYP2C19  Test

Detection of three SNPs in CYP2C19 gene to assist clinicians to determine therapeutic strategy for drugs that are metabolized by CYP2C19.

The test is used for CYP2C19 genotyping based on polymerase chain reaction and nucleic acid hybridization. The test covers 3
SNPs of CYP2C19 gene, including c.681G>A, c.636G>A and c.-806C>T.
CYP2C19 participates in clopidogrel, proton pump inhibitors, anti-seizure medication and other drug metabolism. CYP2C19
gene mutations can lead to the change of enzyme activity. There are four alleles correlating with drug metabolism in CYP2C19
gene: *1(681G, 636G, -806C), *2( 681A), *3 ( 636A) and *17( -806T). *1 allele encodes normal enzyme. *2 and *3 alleles
encode inactive enzyme. *17 allele encodes superactivity enzyme. According to the genotypes of CYP2C19, individuals can
be classified as ultra-rapid acetylators(URAs ), rapid acetylators (RAs), intermediate acetylators (IAs) and slow acetylators
(SAs), respectively.
The results obtained from the kit only provides references to researchers for comprehensive consideration associated with
patient condition, drug indication, therapeutic response and other detection findings.
