ROOM DATA REQUIREMENT DRAWINGS RDRS-sample According to the architect and/or client’s preference, room data requirements drawings are prepared to facilitate the planning of room-by-room equipment. Preliminary room schedules, listing the medical equipment and hospital furniture recommended for each space, are initially prepared. The drawings are considered the communication instrument between the client and the designer to ensure a successful translation of the design and medical plans into functional spaces. Thus, closing the gap between the client’s and the architect’s understanding of any specific room function and its intended utilization. The drawings addresses preliminary mechanical, electrical and finishing requirements for each typical room or space, thereby establishing the broad engineering guidelines for the project. They also provide preliminary equipment and furniture listings proposed for use in the planned spaces. Room Data Requirement Drawings are produced on coordinated 1:20 room layout drawings.
