A simple, sensitive and accurate quantitative assay for the determination of protein in urine. For use on both automated and manual chemistry analyzers.
The Pointe 180 impulse™ is an ISE Electrolyte Analyzer specifically designed for the direct determination of Na+, K+ and Cl- by ion selective electrodes in whole blood, serum, and aqueous QC material.
Reagent packs, electrodes, and the instrument itself all contain unique electronics allowing for self calibration and monitoring for trouble shooting.
The analyzer is a bottle-free, stand alone, bench top, ISE electrolyte analyzer designed for the direct determination of Na+, K+ and Cl- by ion selective electrodes. The unit contains a built in thermal dot matrix printer. The unit is programmable through custom software allowing the user to define programs following their own established protocols. The software is displayed on an interactive touch screen which guides the user step-by-step through the process using on screen prompts, error messages and graphical displays.
Reagents are supplied in packs which plug into the side of the unit with no user contact to waste material. The unit will track reagent expiration and quantity of reagent remaining. *
* Not available for clinical human blood testing in the US
The Pointe 180 is a small, semi-automated chemistry analyzer with six filters and a large test menu. It has an onboard incubator with 12 wells at 37° C, a temperature controlled cuvette well, and internal temperature control. The analyzer leads the user through test performance in a step-by-step manner. The new graphics software allows extended timed absorbance interval data and kinetic data plots to be printed.
The analyzer has 48 programmed and 21 open channels, and reads, calculates, and prints results in less than three seconds. The analyzer reads test tubes upon insertion----no need to press a button. Optimized parameters for Pointe Scientific reagents are already entered - just select the test number. Open channels are available for programming other tests. The normal range for each test is automatically printed out, and results that are out of the normal range are flagged. Normal ranges can be edited to fit the area or population. Results generated by the Pointe 180 are comparable to results reported by hospital and reference labs.
The analyzer can use single point calibration by standard/factor, multi-point calibration with point to point curve fit, percent absorbance and rate by standard or factor. These calculation options allow the analyzer to perform endpoint, initial rate, kinetic rate and batch kinetic methodologies.
MedTest’s Pointe Scientific BioLis 24i Chemistry Reagent Line comes packaged in a barcoded bottle, allowing for easy application on your BioLis 24i Chemistry Analyzer.
The reagents are liquid stable and have been shown to be accurate and precise. Available products include reagents necessary for a basic metabolic panel, a lipid panel, and a liver function panel. Calibrators, Controls, and Standards are also available.
The Pointe Scientific BioLis 24i Reagent Line has the potential to provide your laboratory with significant cost savings over the instrument manufacturer.
MedTest’s Pointe Scientific AU Chemistry Reagent Line comes packaged in a barcoded bottle, allowing for easy application on most AU chemistry analyzers.

Kidney disease is one of the most serious complications of diabetes. Early detection is important because Microalbuminuria may be reversible if diabetes is well controlled.
MicroAlbumin is an important diagnostic tool in diabetic care. The assay can detect low levels of albumin in urine, known as Microalbuminuria, a reliable indicator of early kidney disease.
The Friedewald Formula used to calculate LDL suffers from a number of potential sources of error, bringing into question the accuracy and validity of LDL values based on this formula.
The Pointe Scientific Hemoglobin A1c method uses a patented antibody with a very high specificity for HbA1c. The assay determines direct Hemoglobin A1c results with the highest degree of specificity minimizing cross-reactivity from hemoglobin variant molecules.
The easiest, most convenient and economical way to perform automated direct HDL Cholesterol testing in your laboratory.
A simple, sensitive, and accurate quantitative assay for the kinetic determination of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) in blood.
For use on both automated and manual chemistry analyzers.
