Compared with the re-sequencing analysis schemes, de novo sequencing of the unknown species requires long read length and high coverage to improve the sequence assembly effect. Besides, it shall combine with different Insert-Size sometimes, to cope with repeated sequence of different sizes on the genome and to obtain a more complete assembly result. Currently, Yourgene has accumulated a lot of experience in de novo assembly, which not only can apply various types of assembly software flexibly, but also actively develop software suites to fix the deficiency of the de novo assembly software available in the market. Regarding the experiment, Yourgene combines the latest generation of Illumina Mate-Pair with its own experimental design to obtain high-quality Mate-Pair sequencing data. This greatly facilitates the assembly length and integrity of the de novo assembly. In addition, it can perform other researches, such as genetic prediction, genetic annotation, short tandem repeat (STR) analysis, etc.
