oreign Trade The European Union and Foreign Trade Section at the MIT is active in European Union agendas, has competence for the EU internal market, the common trade policy of the EU, support for exports, international and European law, and participates in the process of EU legislation implementation within the competencies of the MIT into Czech legislation. Through the performance of these measures it also manages the Export Strategy of the Czech Republic, and participates in the creation of the Czech Republic’s policies for external economic relations and economic diplomacy. It is responsible for the agenda relating to the Act on Insurance and Financing of Exports with State Support, ensures the exercise of shareholder rights delegated by the state to the MIT in the export insurer EGAP and in the Czech Export Bank – the ČEB. It performs Licencing Administration in relation to the economic needs of the state and international commitments, ensures the agenda of the licencing and authorisation regimes in the area of special material. It manages the CzechTrade contributory organisation.
