Videonystagmograph

The computerized VNG Plus videonystagmograph, is an extremely versatile instrument, used to diagnose frequent vertigo problems, at the ENT doctor’s Office, in daily consultations.

It is a small, portable system that can be used both with a laptop as well as with an organizer or desktop computer, using USB-type port connections.

Caloric, postural and optokinetic tests can be performed by easily installing a user-friendly software.

Our advanced software uses Windows environment. As regards caloric tests, this equipment automatically diagrams the Claussen butterfly, the Hallpike test, the FREYSS Graphic, the labyrinth response, and the phase/time speed. Claussen patterns are also available for viewing together with the butterfly graph, in order to help the professional to develop a correct diagnosis.

Regarding postural and optokinetic tests this equipment records them and prepares a summary of vestibular and directional domain, latency, gain, relative amplitude and phase. The clinical file is personalized and the system is highly accurate. Reports are clear and elegantly presented.

The equipment includes an ultralight mask with 2 infrared detection cameras located laterally with a mirror system.

Optokinetic tests are performed with the OPK Laser System, an optional accessory and visual stimulator intercommunicating with the VNG Plus videonystagmograph.
