Spartan is bringing complete sample-to-result DNA testing systems to a wide variety of industries, including precision medicine and environmental testing, using Nobel Prize winning qPCR chemistry. It’s like having your own portable qPCR lab.

Spartan’s technology fully integrates DNA collection, extraction and analysis, with an intuitive interface that is easy to operate.

We’ve invested years of research and development to make the world’s smallest molecular diagnostic device. We call it the Spartan Cube. Using this device, Spartan is enabling DNA testing with unprecedented portability and convenience. It’s a revolutionary device that fits easily into any space, whether in a hospital, doctor's office, or pharmacy. The incredible power of molecular diagnostics right at your fingertips.

DNA is in every living thing in the planet. And for the first time in history, our goal is for everyone to have access to that DNA information. It’s going to revolutionize healthcare, and it’s going to revolutionize all of diagnostics. For the first time, healthcare providers and their patients for example can get DNA results on demand.

Spartans first breakthrough was inventing this chemistry that allows you to completely eliminate these DNA purification steps. This means you can insert a sample right into our test cartridge and test a sample right away. Our second breakthrough was taking that big, mainframe DNA analyzer and shrinking it down and miniaturising it into a portable device that you can hold in the palm of your hand.

Using this innovative technology, the Spartan Cube is going to solve big problems.

One example is for precision medicine and lifesaving medications that are affected by DNA. 1 in 3 people carry CYP2C19 mutations that can impair drug metabolism. 15% of all prescribed drugs are metabolized by CYP2C19 enzymes, including anti-platelet drugs, anti-depressants and PPIs. Spartan’s test can rapidly identify these mutations to help doctors make informed therapeutic decisions.

Spartan has received FDA regulatory authorization for the RX, our flagship predecessor to the Spartan Cube. Second, Mayo Clinic, one of the world’s top hospitals, selected the Spartan RX for the largest trial of genetics and personalized medicine in cardiology history. Finally, the New England Journal of Medicine, the world’s top medical journal, recognized the Spartan RX as a rapid and effective way to genotype patients, and these studies have shown better patient outcomes and more cost-effective treatment for heart attack patients.

Our team sees the Cube as making it finally possible for everyone in the world to get instant DNA results.
