Catgut Chromic

Catgut Chromic (CC) is a sterile absorbable monofilament suture composed of purified collagen derived from either the serosal layer of beef (bovine) or the submucosal fibrous layer of sheep (ovine) intestines. The CC Suture undergoes a ribbon stage chromicisation and is treated with glycerin and chromic salt solutions and larger resistance to absorption compared to Catgut Plain. The CC Suture is available also undyed, from sizes: USP6/0 – USP3.
