Chagas Disease
The Chagas Ab Rapid Test is a lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of the parasitic Chagas Disease in human serum, plasma or whole blood. It is intended to be used as a screening test and as an aid in the diagnosis of infection.
Chagas disease, also known to be American trypanosomiasis, is a parasitic disease caused by the microbe Trypanosoma cruzi. It is mostly spread by triatominae, or kissing bugs. Symptoms have been known to change throughout the course of infection.
