Consumer Protection The primary objective of the Technical Harmonization and Consumer Legislation Department in the area of consumer protection is the fulfilment of the Consumer Policy Priorities. In particular the following matters are considered as high-priority objectives: safety of products and services, protection of consumers´ economic interests, ensuring of control over the market, reinforcing of the law enforceability, legislative actions, cooperation with consumer associations, consumer education and awareness, promotion of actions in the area of self-regulation.
