Industry The industry section is responsible for the coordinated development of activities of the Ministry in the field of manufacturing industry and mining in accordance with the concept of economic strategy and government policy, environmental protection and human health, the principles of sustainable development, sustainable consumption and production and economic and social processes in the EU. It provides the MIT´s scope in the coal, ore, and uranium mining and related obligations arising from the membership in the EU and international organizations in addition to the information and coordination function to the CMA and ensures the exercise of state power pursuant to the Mining Law, the Law on Mining, explosives and the State Mining Administration, the Geological Law, the Law on Hallmarking and Precious Metal Testing, the Law on Chemical Substances and Preparations, the Packaging Law and the Law on integrated prevention. It secures the preparation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of transformation programs of coal mining and reclamation and remediation of mining activities. It provides solutions to the relations between the industrial activity and environment, including social and infrastructure impacts. It carries out auditing by environmental legislation and is responsible for policy development in the field of secondary raw materials within the creation of a single raw material policy of the Czech Republic.
