International Trade & Investment Download The Midlands Engine Vision Home Our Five Themes International Trade & Investment Share We want to work with the region’s businesses and international partners to raise awareness of the Midlands Engine and develop new areas for collaboration to secure maximum benefits for the region. We will work together with private sector partners and the Department for International Trade (DIT) to showcase the Midlands Engine Investment Portfolio. In 2017, we successfully undertook our first collective promotion of the Midlands at MIPIM, an international property event in Cannes, France. We will continue our ambitious schedule of overseas investment missions to connect business with investment opportunities – you can find out more about the up and coming missions here We will also work together to increase foreign direct investment (FDI), boost our international presence and develop a combined offer at a scale that is attractive to major investors.
