Biological Indicators
The worldwide health authorities recognize biological indicators as an indispensable instrument to check quality of sterilization process.
The biological indicators must be constituted by an adequate number of specific micro organisms for each type of sterilization process and it must be prepared according to determined quality standards that stresses the natural conditions in which the material can be sterilized.
Correctly used, LTA biological indicators ensure the quality of the sterilization process with a degree of probability of 1:1.000.000, (e.g. an autoclave that makes four sterilization processes per day and gives one false positive every 1.000 years of activity).
