Zovyal is a medical device based on hyaluronic acid sodium salt, with a constant molecular weight of 3,000,000 Daltons, which allows a perfect diffusion inside the joint, this means that no painful swelling occurs during inoculation. It is obtained by fermentation and this guarantees absolute purity thus minimizing the risks of allergens and inflammatory reactions. It also has a very high persistence and duration of action on site. It is a substitute of the synovial fluid that thanks to its viscoelastic and lubricating properties, favors the restoration of rheological conditions of the joints, altered in case of degenerative or post-traumatic diseases. The product, improving the characteristics of the synovial fluid, exerts a protective action on the joints and promotes the improvement of joint function and the reduction of painful symptoms. It is a sterile injectable, biodegradable and isotonic gel, for intra-articular use. It consists of a hyaluronic acid (1,700,000 DA.), Produced by Sreptococcus equi bacteria, formulated at a concentration of 20mg / ml in a physiological buffer. It is characterized by viscoelastic properties, therefore it allows to favor the normalization of the viscosity of the synovial fluid present in the intra-articular cavity. Zovyal is a synovial fluid substitute which, thanks to its viscoelastic and lubricant properties, promotes the restoration of rheological conditions of the joints, altered in patients with degenerative osteoarthritis of the knee. The product, improving the characteristics of the synovial fluid of the knee, exerts a protective action of this joint with a consequent improvement of the functionality and reduction of pain symptoms. Zovyal acts only at the joint where it is injected, without exerting any systemic action.

Zovyal is a sterile, biodegradable, isotonic, injectable gel, for intra-articular use. Zovyal consists of hyaluronic acid with a high molecular weight, obtained from Streptococcus equi bacteria, formulated to a concentration of 20 mg/ ml in a physiologic buffer. Zovyal is characterised by viscoelastic properties, therefore allows to facilitate the normalisation of the viscosity of the synovial fluid present in the intra-articular cavity. Each box contains one syringe of Zovyal and a product leaflet. A set of two labels showing the batch number is contained in the box. One of these labels must be attached to the patient’s file and the other must be given to the patient to ensure traceability.
